Basic Sewing Kit
This kit is offered at cost price. I have gathered all the essential tools I know to be decent quality for a budget friendly price and taken all the hard work out of sourcing these individual items yourself.
There are a few optional upgrades for scissors and other highly recommended tools I consider to be extremely useful when starting your sewing adventures.
What is included?
- 1 x Dressmaking scissors 8-10" long cutting blades
- 1 x small pair of snips,
- 1 x paper/craft scissors (for cutting paper patterns)
- 1 x flexible tape measure 300cm long,
- 100 x glass head pins & magnetic pin tray
- 1 x spool 1000m thread* to match your fabric,
- 1 x pack (5) machine needles - size 80/12 (universal, medium size)
- 1 x seam ripper,
- piece of tailors chalk in white & 1 other colour
- 1 x seam gauge
- assorted sizes of hand sewing needles (in a felt wrapper, not a box)
Optional Upgrade:
- Upgrade to Professioal heavy dressmaking shears (metal handle instead of soft touch plastic handle) Cutting blades are approx 8-8.5" long depending on availability
